Harry Man(United Kingdom, 1982)
The work of Harry Man is remarkable for a manner of writing poetry which is both direct and experimental. Language is a flexible instrument in his hands, and although this means free handling of sentence structure and vocabulary, communication with the reader always comes first. He takes his stylistic devices, formulations and poetic approaches from the world he wants to coax into talking, be that the urban reality of today or, on the other hand, the world of nature and landscape. His attitude is critical, his poetry simultaneously compelling and adventurous.
