Mohamed Al-Harthy

(Oman, 1962)

Mohamed Al-Harthy writes poems and travel stories. Unlike the poetry of many Arabic poets and, in fact, all the poetry that adheres to Arabic tradition, Al-Harthy employs free verse. Even in his choice of themes Al-Harthy may be said to deviate from Arabic convention, and some have even described his verse as surrealistic.
