Heiko Strunk was born in 1966 and lives in Berlin. He studied German literature, philosophy and political science at the Universities of Marburg and Berlin. Since 1999 he has been the project manager of lyrikline.org, an internet platform on which poems are available to listen to and to read, both in their original languages and various translations. Visitors to the site can experience the melody, sound and rhythm of international poetry, recited by the poets themselves.
Heiko Strunk also works for the poetry festival of Literaturwerkstatt Berlin, German partner of PIW. Heiko is the editor and producer of various poetry audio books by poets including Derek Walcott, Adolf Endler, Durs Grünbein, Gerhard Falkner/David Moss, and Inger Christensen.
